             Joe Kisvardai was born in the Cleveland area and graduated from Fairview Park high school. He served in the Marines from 1964 to 1968 during the Vietnam War. When he returned home, Kisvardai started a painting and repair business. By the 80's, Joe was working for artists Berenice Kent and Edris Eckhardt and from there he eventually developed friendships with many Cleveland School Artists.
