Scope and Contents
One photograph of color woodblock printmaker Edna Boies Hopkins (1872-1937) by Cincinnati photographer William B. Poynter (d. 1954). The print was given to the donor by one of Hopkins' family members and depicts the artist appearing to work on one of her most famous prints, The Mountaineer, which she produced while vacationing with her artist husband James in Kentucky's Cumberland region. Also included is Edna Boies Hopkins' signature from a book given to the donor by one of the artist's family members.
