Summary
World travel was a regular part of the life of artist John Paul Miller. When he retired from teaching at the Cleveland Institute of Art, he made his first trip to Antarctica. He traveled to the continent every year for fourteen years, documenting each trip with slides. The images represented here are from his first excursion in 1984. With his artist’s eye, Miller documented the remote beauty and majesty of the continent. Views include Beagle Channel Glaciers, Deception Island, Drake Passage, Port Lockroy, the Ross Ice Shelf, and many more. These are only a small portion of the larger John Paul Miller collection.
