These visual materials include both professional and personal films and videotapes. The most important film is "Goldsmithing", produced in 1955, that illustrates the granulation technique developed by the artist for creating his works.The series also includes Cleveland Institute of Art student films created as part of John Paul Miller's classes on design.The creators of these films are not identified and date primarily from the 1970s. Home movies include very early scenes of the artist's home in addition to films of family and camping trips. Lastly the series includes the 1947 film on Presbyterian missions in Alaska that John Paul Miller was contracted to produce for Flory Films.
