This small collection consists of index cards to photographic negatives relating to CMA views, departments, staff, and May Show objects. It is arranged topically or by medium, and thereunder by title or type of object. Topical portions of the index are arranged roughly alphabetical, although some headings appear to be repeated.

It has been arranged into four groups: Cleveland Museum of Art related views and portraits (named individuals and groups) and Non-CMA views and portraits. Slides from various offices depicting exhibitions, events, and views of the museum and museum construction. Included are a large number of exhibition installation slides from former museum designer, William Ward. Slides are stored in slide boxes in cool storage. Folder titles refer to the subject heading of a particular group of slides. Subject headings can include any number of slides.
