Mabel Hewit scrapbooks

Scope and Contents note This collection comprises of two bound scrapbooks. The scrapbooks contain newspaper clippings, exhibition catalogs, correspondence, and awards. The scrapbooks were compiled sometime after 1960 and each one spans roughly thirty years. Both are arranged in a rough chronological order. One is committed to the documentation of Mabel Hewit's interaction with the May Show and covers from 1936 to 1961. The second scrapbook has a broader scope, comprising of materials not related to the May Show....

Martin Linsey collection of Cleveland Museum of Art photographs

This collection consists of photographic negatives, mostly 35mm, of museum staff and activities taken by Martin Linsey, who was a member of the museum education department. The images document both the museum campus and other Cleveland venues. The negatives date from 1964-1980. The archives has a second collection of Martin Linsey photographs of Cleveland monuments, cataloged separately.

The Russell Barnett Aitken collection was donated to the museum archives by Irene Roosevelt Aitken. The collection documents the artist's life and career through visual, textual, and three dimensional materials. It consists of six scrapbooks, four photo albums, loose photographs, three sketchbooks, one notebook, fifteen works of art; and artist tools and molds.
