The Auction Sales Catalogs series comprises 74 cubic feet. Approximately 50 cubic feet of this total will be cataloged into the Ingalls Library collection. The cataloging of this portion of the collection is a long-term, ongoing project. The catalogs described in this finding aid are duplicates of catalogs already in the Ingalls Library collection.

Arrangement

Auction Sales Catalogs were originally arranged by auction house, and within each group, catalogs were generally arranged chronologically. Some catalogs were given Kovel index numbers corresponding to the monograph index, presumably indicating that they related strongly to a particular subject.
