Biographical / Historical

Honoré Guilbeau was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and went on to attend the Art Institute of Chicago and the Cleveland School of Art. She illustrated books for Heritage Press and with author Ethel Collier, many of which can be found in this collection. In addition to her career as an artist, Guilbeau had a background in dance and theatre, and was heavily involved in her Peninsula, Ohio community.
