Scope and Contents note
For internal record-keeping purposes, the Museum created an alphabetical card file of the names and addresses of all artists who entered works in the May Show. Hand written notations or stamps made on each card indicate the year or years the artist entered the exhibition. Although each artist's card should list all of the years that artist entered the May Show, the early years have not been recorded as thoroughly as that of later May Shows.
