Scope and Contents note

The files "general information and publicity correspondence" include research materials gathered for the purpose of publicizing the show. The files contain clippings, correspondence, transcripts of interviews and talks, and descriptions of the history of the May Show compiled by the museum. Materials offer both acclamation and criticism. This subseries provides a quick way to learn the history of the May Show and the challenges it created, up to the early 1970s.
