Insight/Onsite, 1991

The 75th Anniversary of The Cleveland Museum of Art prompted a search for artists for the exhibition Insight/Onsite. The materials in this series were created by various offices in the museum, though Modern Art was primarily responsible for organizing the exhibition. Invitations to apply were sent out to a large number of artists, including all past May Show entrants. The artists' applications, first and second round qualifications, final selections, and biographies of accepted artists comprise the first subseries on artists' information. Administrative files, including information on installing and dismantling the exhibits, catalog copy, project notes, thank you notes, individual correspondence with participating artists, and budget information make up the second subseries.
